Just for my loyal readers, I have compiled a grocery list with many nutritious whole foods &  ingredients that go into good, healthy, home cooked meals.  

  • I print these sheets out and hang them on a clipboard on the wall in my pantry. 
  • When I need an item, I circle it.  
  • Then, I just bring the list to the store.  Easy!

PRINT the Grocery List

​Some notes about the list:

  • The list is not all inclusive.  There are many, many more healthy foods to find.  Don't feel limited by the list.
  • Not all of these foods may be right for you. Avoid foods you know you are sensitive or allergic to.
  • Write any other foods/items you wish to buy on the open lines.
  • After circling any fruits, veggies, or meats, write an "F' if you intend to buy it frozen.
  • Any fruit or veggie with an * means it's on the Environmental Working Group's Dirty Dozen list.  Make sure to buy it organic.

​NOT on the list:

  • Gluten or grains
  • Soy
  • MSG
  • Corn
  • Carageenan (or other unhealthy additives)
  • GMO foods (genetically modified)
  • Highly inflammatory Omega 6 oils (like soy or canola)
  • Trans fats (hydrogenated oils)
  • High fructose corn syrup
  • Added & Artificial sweeteners
  • Boxed breakfast cereal
  • Additives like preservatives, colors, or artificial flavorings

Food quality is key:

  • ​Fruits and veggies should be organic, when possible.
  • Foods that come without packaging are often healthier.
  • Condiments should be low in sugar (but not include artificial sweeteners).
  • Sauces should not contain unhealthy oils.
  • Ingredient lists should be short.
  • Try to know what every ingredient is.
  • Food in jars is often quality better than canned.
  • Meats should be preferably grass-fed or organic, & free of BHA/BHT, nitrites, and MSG.
  • Nuts should be raw or dry roasted. 
  • Eggs are preferably pastured, or at least organic.
  • Dairy foods are preferably raw.
