Zucchini is one of the most common foods on the market that is a genetically modified organism (GMO). It's worth the extra $ to but it organic.
How to Interpret Produce Labels:
- Produce labels that begin with 8 are GMO foods.
- Produce labels that begin with 9 are organic.
- Produce labels that begin with 3 & 4 are conventionally grown.
Wash all produce thoroughly, especially if you are going to eat the outside/peel.
